Our strategy will be supported by several key initiatives, listed below in order of priority:

Initiatives

Through Navy Week, we aim to educate Americans on the vital role of Naval service and the value of a strong Navy in protecting the American way of life. We support Navy Week by conducting press outreach to local dignitaries, community groups, and the public to shine a spotlight on the Navy’s activities and participants, including outreach to the community. The Navy Week program is an essential component of the Navy’s outreach efforts, helping to build a stronger, more informed, and supportive community of Americans committed to the Navy’s mission.
  5. Why Join the Navy initiative: This initiative highlights the unique skills and experiences that military veterans, particularly those who served in the Navy, bring to the tech industry. These include leadership, problem-solving, and technical skills, making Navy veterans valuable assets in the fast-paced tech industry. You can follow along with our efforts and progress under the ‘Join Navy’ category.
  6. Naval History Matters initiative: This initiative will educate the public on the positive role of the U.S. Navy and the brave individuals who have served in the past, exploring a different moment in the rich history of the U.S. Navy each week. You can follow along with our efforts and progress under the ‘Naval History’ category.

Many Americans advocate for a stronger Navy to achieve “peace through strength.” This is because a robust Navy can enhance national security by protecting the United States and its interests abroad, projecting military power to deter potential adversaries, and promoting stability in regions of strategic importance.

Additionally, a strong Navy can safeguard economic growth by protecting trade routes and ensuring the free flow of goods and resources. Moreover, a powerful Navy can enable the US to provide aid and support to allies and be more effective in humanitarian missions, further promoting peace and stability.
