“This Week in Naval History” – Honoring the Brave Men and Women and those that support them in the U.S. Navy.
Washington, D.C. – The Americans for a Stronger Navy is proud to honor the brave men and women and those that support them who served in the U.S. Navy throughout history. This week, we pay tribute to their courage and sacrifices, which helped secure freedom and peace for future generations.
Throughout WW2 for example, the U.S. Navy played a crucial role in the Pacific and Atlantic theaters, and the bravery of its sailors and officers was instrumental in securing the eventual victory of the Allies.
As we reflect on their contributions, we would like to remind the public of the importance of supporting our current military personnel, their families, those that support them and those that haved served. These brave men and women and the thousands that support them at home or abroad continue to serve our country, ensuring our freedoms and security, and it is our duty to show our gratitude and appreciation. From shipyards, repair facilities, manufacturing plants to supply chain facilities and from big cities and small towns we owe them our respect and recognition.
The Americans for a Stronger Navy will publish a weekly recognition of our everyday heroes, and we encourage all Americans to take part in these activities and pay their respects to the brave men and women of the U.S. Navy.
